  1. The Arizona electric utility I work for had three of the EV-1s. They worked okay, kinda, as long as you didn't run the A/C (this is Arizona!) or the heater, both of which cut into the 150 mile range. They could never compete with EVs of today.
The EV-1 was never sold; all of them were leased. GM learned some lessons that led them to the Volt, then removed them from the road at the end of the lease period. The EV-1 was actually a concept car and never made it to production, so all of them that were not destined for museum use – in the case of the EV-1 nobody wanted to spring for the upkeep, including the insanely expensive battery pack – were destroyed. Completely standard practice to avoid potential liability or obligations to support something they never sold.

  3. cure for cancer I believe but the government wouldn't allow it cause companies would loss money and that's all they care for not people

  4. All of this just goes on show that humans as a species are too self serving and short sighted to be the stewards of this planet. It's hard to believe that lobbyists and big corporations have the power and influence to subdue or eliminate genuine beneficial advances for their own evil ends but that is actually their purpose and certainly doesn't say a lot for humanity. History ( if we haven't ruined the planet for all species and caused a mass extinction) will judge us poorly and surely condemn us. Shame on us.

  5. It's so easy to fabricate conspiracy theories about how big pharma, big oil, big government, the illuminati and the reptilians living at the center of the earth want to suppress knowledge and fabulous inventions for profit and world domination. In the end people all over the world will always show a tendency to believe tall tales rather than learning hard, boring, factual science and the use of logic.

  6. As someone who doesn't mind not getting married, who doesn't want children, and who is Chinese/Vietnamese, this is honestly one of my fears, that when I reach a certain age everyone in my family will talk and question why I haven't found someone yet or why I don't have children yet. Even if they don't say anything bad to me directly, I know they'll whisper it behind my back. I really like the message of this video and what SK-II is trying to do.

  7. I'm 27 and still a single woman.
honestly It doesn't bother me at all, I'm actually very happy and many of my girlfriends are also happy single women.

the idea of being single forever doesn't bother us… ending up with someone that makes your life miserable simply because you married out of societal pressure, now THAT is sad. your partner will change your life, why pressure people in such a big desition? let people choose when they wanna marry (if at all)

  8. The parents, I believe, think that their daughters are 'ending the genetic line' so to speak. No children means destroying thousands of years of ancestral blood line. Think about it. Not having children means you are deliberately extinguishing your DNA forever and exterminating your generations to come. DNA genocide/ suicide… just because you want to have a good time

  9. Losers. Make some money, move out from your mom's apartment. Nobody is bothering you anymore.

  10. Excellent message for people who lived believing that is more important what the people think or says. For all parents in China or anywhere in the world…Let their daughters (or sons) feels free to decide and live happiness.

  13. If women don't want to get married that's great. Good for them.

However China has more men than women and there are 30 million Chinese men who lack the means to get married EVEN IF THEY WANTED TO GET MARRIED. There are some rural villages in China which has 80% male population because many women leave and migrate to urban cities. So they leave behind a predominant male population in these villages and these poor rural village farmers have no means of finding a wife.

Yet not a single peep from the media about "leftover men"?

  14. These brave, single women who have such a happy, fulfilled life without husband and children will commit suicide en masse when they hit 40 and see happily married women with their husbands and children. They can lie to themsleves now about how happy they are right now, but it won't last, in the end they will have to face the failure of their lives.

  15. 25… Damn expecting a lot.. At least 30 to end your freedom for the next 2 decades.
